Dr. V.Sermet Akar completed his primary medical education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in Izmir and his residency at Süleymaniye Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital. He completed his compulsory service in Diyarbakır and also as Chief Physician at Orhangazi State Hospital in Bursa district. He then worked as an Expert in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of Bezmi Alem Valide Sultan Vakıf Gureba Training Hospital (15 years) and Taksim Training and Research Hospital (4 years).
